Fantastic Four officially announced for Marvel Rivals ahead of Season 1

As we enter 2025, Marvel Rivals only seems to be getting stronger with an extremely healthy player count, coupled with additional content being released thanks to the highly anticipated Season 1.

There have been some long-rumored heroes and villains that many are hoping to make an appearance but none more requested than Fantastic Four—Marvel’s ‘first family’.

Now, after leaks aplenty, we’ve got a concrete announcement that the Fantastic Four will in fact be coming to Marvel Rivals, and pretty soon at that.

In a post on the official Marvel Rivals X account, we’re given an initial sneak peek into what the Four will look like in-game.

Akin to that of basically all Marvel Rivals’ designs, they’re stellar takes on the classic comic book characters.

The suits donned by family are somewhat unique compared to all of the different variants they’ve worn in the past, with a predominant white hue compared to the usual blue.

The closest comparison are the Triangular Necklines costumes that were featured in around fifteen issues just with the colorway inverted.

As for what roles each of the heroes will have, it’s extremely likely that we’ll see the Thing (Ben Grim) as a Vanguard and the Human Torch (Johnny Storm) as a Duelist.

Mr Fantastic (Reed Richards) could be classed as a Vanguard but be used as a bit of a hybrid similar to that of Thor, and Invisible Woman (Sue Storm) may be a Strategist character, utilizing H.E.R.B.I.E that also appears in this teaser image.

The trailer showcasing what’s in store for the Fantastic Four in Marvel Rivals launches January 6th at 8:00 AM PST / 16:00 UTC so we’ll have to just wait for then for all the juicy details.

This will probably include when we can expect to see each character release date since it’s likely they won’t be thrown in all at once and instead, spread across Season 1.
