eHarmony, the online dating site that was founded back in the year 2000, has announced today that its mobile app will also support Android Wear and the Samsung Gear S Smart watch. Mobile technology is increasingly important for the online company as over 50% of new users come to the site via mobile devices.
“Mobile represents a huge opportunity for us to capture new market share and broaden our impact and we are seeing this happen at an accelerating rate in recent months,” said Armen Avedissian, Chief Operating Officer, eHarmony. “New entrants in the online dating category are helping drive interest in eHarmony, while taking market share away from competitors. Combine this circumstance with eHarmony’s powerful brand and industry-leading outcomes and we have the perfect recipe to grow substantially. We are pleased to announce these new releases.”
Using the eHarmony app on the Samsung Gear S, users will be able to receive enhanced notifications from your Smartphone, which can include information like a potential match’s name, age, and location, as well as their primary photo and personal message sent through eH Mail. The Gear S application is beginning its Global rollout, so it should be available in your region soon.
