We are mere hours away from the launch of Season 5 – the Season of the Infernal Hordes and it (naturally) brings a new Battle Pass into play so there are lots of new rewards up for grabs. Is it worth it though or is it just another collection of random cosmetic junk? Let’s have a look.
How much is Diablo IV Season 5 Battle Pass?
As per Diablo’s routine, there are three types of Battle Pass, the free track, the Paid Track (Premium), and the Accelerated Premium, which costs more but gives you a load of tier skips to save you time if you think you might not be able to complete it in the allotted timescale.
The free one, well do we really need to tell you the price of that, costs nothing. The Premium BP will set you back $10/£8 and the Accelerated BP which lets you skip 20 levels from the off as well as scoring an exclusive emote will cost you $25/£21.

Is the Diablo IV Battle Pass worth it?
It depends if you are a collector of cosmetics really. There are some nice-looking trinkets in the paid version and you get a couple of Town Portals to use but by and large, there are no major advantages if you opt for the free version of Season of the Infernal Hordes.
The Accelerated pass is much more expensive but it depends on how pushed for time/bone idle you are as to whether you think you should go for it, or just save up for the forthcoming expansion, which is not cheap.
What are the Infernal Hordes
The official description tells us thus:
The Fell Council offers you temptation in the form of power, but at what cost? Players across both Seasonal and Eternal realms will face waves of Demons in this new activity solo or with friends, earning Burning Aether with each successful run to bring on more hordes of demons. Choose the difficulty of each wave you face based on the rewards you seek, like Uniques and Legendaries, Masterworking materials, and Gold. But keep a sharp eye and blade – with boons and banes applied to each wave, and a chance of spawning infernal Elites, aggressive ambushes, and other demonic challenges, slaying the hordes will be no easy feat. Face your final battle with the Fell Council bosses, comprised of a random pairing of three powerful Fell Priests. Take them down to claim your final rewards.
