Ottawa based Industrial Software Company Contextere has announced that it will collaborate with Samsung Electronics America Inc. to bring its intelligent personal agent software for industrial workers to Samsung Gear S3 wearables. The AI-powered software will provide industrial workers with the right information, at the right time. The software has capabilities such as real-time health intelligence, geo-location for improved safety, and notification task alerts and hands-free calling.
The collaboration between the Canadian Company and Samsung will provide an unparalleled actionable intelligence for industrial companies. This includes the ability to provide workers with critical procedural guidance and notifications related to their job. Samsung’s GearUP platform, which collects biometrics, geo-location, and other contextual information, coupled with Contextere’s machine learning algorithms will revolutionize industrial working system for once and all. The AI-powered Contextere application will be able to alert a manufacturing worker about breakdowns in hydraulic systems, while the same software can inform an aviation worker about their next work site location. And this all will occur via a wrist watch, Samsung Gear S3, which will also be monitoring real-time stress on the workers. This will make the working environment safer and more productive.
“We are excited to bring our transformational industrial software to Samsung users, as well as our customers in Aerospace, Energy and Smart City markets. Contextere is focused on human-centric innovation, and our collaboration with Samsung exemplifies this,” explains Gabe Batstone, Contextere CEO.
Contextere’s customers include Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, who earlier this year invested in the development of an intelligent personal agent for aircraft technicians. Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company based in Bethesda, Maryland. The Company is principally engaged in the research, design, development and manufacture of advanced technology systems, products and services. The Company has been Canada’s trusted defence partner for over 75 years.
Contextere application is expected to be available on the Samsung Gear S3 in the first quarter of 2018.
