How to play co-op multiplayer in Monster Hunter Wilds: Link Party explained

The Monster Hunter experience has always been elevated when playing with friends, coming together to track and fight against the various creatures that lie in wait.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, multiplayer returns and you can once again pool your strengths and weapons to complete missions.

Here, we’ll take you through how to play co-op multiplayer in Monster Hunter Wilds, explaining the Link Party feature that you’ll be using.

How to play Monster Hunter Wilds multiplayer using the Link Party system

When you begin the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta, you’ll be introduced to the SOS Flair which enables you to call for help, allowing other hunters to get in on the action.

However, this isn’t the route you really want to go down to get multiplayer going and instead, to be most prepared, you’ll need to get a fully-fledged co-op session going.

To do this, head to a base camp and you’ll be able to start creating the multiplayer invitations.

Open up the pause menu and move over to the ‘Communication’ tab where there will be an ‘Invite a Friend’ option.

Hit the following ’Yes’ prompt and locate the friend you want to invite from your device’s friends list.

If done correctly, the person you invited can accept this from the ‘Invite Notification List’, again in the ‘Communication’ tab.

However, the process doesn’t stop here if you want to go on hunts together.

After the person joins your game, you’ll now be in the ‘Link Party’ system where you’re technically playing together but you won’t be able to hunt monsters as a pairing.

Instead, you’ll have to locate the ‘Link Party’ option in the ‘Communication’ tab and look for the ‘Invite All to Environment Link’.

Once accepted, your friend should now be in your ‘world’ and you can now go slay some beasts!
