Baldur’s Gate 3 mod tools cracked, unlocking custom campaigns to be made

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the game that just doesn’t want to die with the daily Steam player count barely dipping under 100k over the past year.

With Larian Studios releasing various patches, fixing a plethora of different bugs, as well as changing some undercooked content, this has all helped to keep the BG3 train going.

In Patch 7, the latest release from the developers, mod tools were released for the game, giving creative players the chance to use the tech that built the game to begin with.

One key omission from the mod tools though was custom campaign creation which wasn’t included due to “technical constraints”, hampering any fully-fledged story additions.

However, like many games and their files, dedicated modders have already been getting their hands dirty, bypassing Larian’s restrictions and opening up campaign creation for all.

This BG3 Toolkit Unlocked version of the official mod tools from Siegre does exactly what the name suggests – unlocks the tools further, adding the aforementioned campaign creation, save editing, and more.

This means that even if you’ve done a full run-through of the Baldur’s Gate 3 campaign, there may be an opportunity to install brand new, community made stories, potentially on the level of Larian’s if done correctly.

We’ve seen the likes of Fallout: London hit the web after many years of crafting to glowing reviews and due to the sheer number of hardcore Baldur’s Gate fans, something of this ilk could be on the horizon thanks to these unlocked mod tools.

If you fancy yourself as a keen modder and want to get involved, Siege’s BG3 Toolkit Unlocked can be downloaded from the ever-popular NexusMods.

Let’s wait and see if Baldur’s Gate 3’s player count will start growing once more, becoming the game that will seemingly have people hooked until the end of time.
