Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage adds 12,000 sq ft of gaming space

Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage is expanding its gaming space. With a new 12,000 square feet area, the casino will add dozens of new games to the floor and, once opened, will have 89,000 square feet of space.

The move comes as the casino approaches its 30th anniversary. Opened in 1995 in Palm Springs, it was one of the first to appear in California after the state allowed tribal gaming.

It’s owned by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, who have lived in the region dating back thousands of years. It also owns Agua Caliente Palm Springs. In 2020, it opened a location in Cathedral City, making it one of the only tribes in California to own more than one casino.

For those in the area, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will happen Monday, April 21, from 11 am.

In a press release, Rick Rothenberger, the Vice President of Slots at the casino, said:

“With more than 3,300 slots across our three casino properties, we offer various games ranging from popular classics to thrilling new game titles.

“As a leader in Coachella Valley, Agua Caliente Casinos are the only place where you will find several of these new slot titles.”

Adding to this, Jim Bott, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Rancho Mirage, said:

“In anticipation of our 30th anniversary, expansion efforts began in early 2024.

“With this expansion comes more action, more excitement, and the hottest slots in town.

“We welcome our players to be the first to experience our new and exclusive slot machines, found nowhere else in the Coachella Valley.”
