Fitbit is one of the leading smartwatch brands. The company have already released a couple of smartwatches such as the Ionic and the Versa. Now, the company is going to release a newer model named the Fitbit Versa 2.
Some renders of the smartwatch were leaked earlier this month suggesting an Alexa functionality and an OLED screen. Now, there have been more leaks due to the website HRDLPN.
The former website claiming that the smartwatch should hit the market on September 15. The leaks confirming some of the guesswork that people have done.
The Fitbit Versa 2 does have an OLED display and 2.5D curved glass. There aren’t many detailed specifications of the watch as of now. Fitbit is promoting the watch to have a battery life that lasts for more than four days. The smartwatch should have enough storage to store 300 songs. From my guesswork, there might be around 1.5GB – 3GB (depending on song quality and length you’re able to store.) You will be able to listen to these ≈300 songs via Bluetooth headphones.
Tracking Features
The smartwatch has the same tracking features as the Fitbit Versa. Steps, floors, your sleep stages, heart rate monitoring and 15+ exercise modes. There has also been a mention of a SpO2 sensor. This sensor is used to calculate the amount of oxygenated haemoglobin in the blood.
Every smartwatch nowadays isn’t complete without a smart assistant. The Fitbit Versa 2 will have the Alexa smart assistant so you’ll be able to ask for the weather, set timers and turn your smart lights on and off. All from your smartwatch. There is also support for Fitbit Pay, like Samsung Pay, you can pay wirelessly without pulling your phone out of your pocket.
The Versa 2 should be available in the colours purple, blue, pink and silver. You can change the bands because they’re interchangeable so colour variations can be mixed to your liking. Some rumours suggest that this watch will be unveiled on August 25. Prices are said to start at $200.
