Tri Cascade Inc., a subsidiary of Sky-Fidelity Inc., has announced that it has created a first of its kind Smart Wall Plug. The Internet of Things (IoT) device will be introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2018.
According to the Company, the Smart Wall Plug is one of a kind. The Company says its technology will completely transcends the market for overload/surge protection. There are many wall plugs available in the market that provide mobile app based “on-off” features-but none with provide overload protection. The Company also claims that its device is the first in the market that can perform the “triple play”:
- Surge protection/load management alerts/ child proof safety outlet protection.
- Wi-Fi extender/router functions.
- Energy management metering in the cloud.
The Company has designed this innovative Smart Wall Plug technology to complement its Smart Outlet device. The device will create a total “before and after-market” product cycle providing homes, apartments and office buildings with overload/surge protection. The Smart Wall Plug and Smart Outlet Technologies will provide the foundation for the final stages of the Smart Home: Energy Management. Tri Cascade’s i-BRIGHT programmable 15/20 AMP and GFCI Duplex Receptacles are capable of enabling energy efficiency through an 802.11n Wi-Fi Mesh network of interconnected nodes allowing real time power consumption metering.
