Samsung Z1 updated to Tizen 2.4 in India – version Z130HDDU0CPC4

 
Here at Tizen Experts we believe that every software update counts, and it doesn’t how big or small they are. Today, the Samsung Z1 has received a small update of only 4.1MB, taking it to version Z130HDDU0CPC4. This is the second small update that the smartphone has had recently as it was updated to version Z130HDDU0CPC2 with a 2.9MB download.
The Samsung Z1 has recently received a massive software update for the operating system in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, taking it from Tizen 2.3 to Tizen 2.4.0.2 (Z130HDDU0CPB1).
 
According to the software update details, the improvements are as follows:

  • Device stability improvements, bug fixes
  • New and / or enhanced features
  • Further improvements to performance


 
 

Kies Update

The following is the procedure to use to update the firmware using the Kies desktop application:

  • Launch the Kies App on your Desktop
  • Plug your Smartphone into the Desktop
  • You should get an option to update your software
  • Manually check by selecting Tools -> Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation

 

Manual Check

If you do not get automatically prompted to update your firmware on your smartphone, you can manually check by using the steps below:

  • Select Settings
  • Select About Device
  • Select Software Update
  • Select Check for updates
