Samsung Z1 Firmware Update
The Samsung Z1 is the first Tizen Smartphone released by the Korean Manufacturer, presently only available in India and Bangladesh. We have previously seen two software updates for it being released. Today, we see TIZEN version 2.3.0.0 Z130HDDU0BOB2 being released as an Over the Air (OTA) update measuring in at 12.4Mb. There is no changelog available or a downloadable firmware file at the moment.

Manually Check
If you do not get a automatically prompted to update your firmware, you can manually check by using the steps below:
- Select Settings
- Select About Device
- Select Software Update
- Select Check for updates
Tizen is an Open Source Operating System that is hosted by the Linux Foundation. As Samsung have direct access to the OS, they are able to dictate on their own terms how software updates are tested and also applied to their devices, resulting in the frequent updates that we have seen and hopefully will continue to see.
