Samsung and Intel Security collaborate to secure the Samsung Z1

Intel Security said on Monday that it has collaborated with Samsung on the companies new Tizen based Smartphone, the Samsung Z1, in order to secure it through its McAfee Mobile Security software, which already comes pre-installed in the Tizen Samsung Smartphone.

“With mobile malware samples up, we firmly believe that security should be seamlessly integrated into telecommunications. By including our software on new operating systems like Tizen, security is developed in parallel with the ever-expanding technology landscape,” Sean Duca, chief technology officer Asia Pacific, McAfee, part of Intel Security, said in a statement.

Users are able to launch the McAfee Mobile Security app and run instant privacy and security scans, as well as being able to update the anti virus protection without the need of costly subscription services. Virus scanning can be done manually or it can be scheduled at specific times, with the option of any security risk files to be either quarantined or deleted. You also get web protection from malicious web sites.
