There has been lots of news of late about Samsung shuffling their top executive line up in light of their recent mobile phone revenue misfortunes. Samsung Electronics Co. have named Pranav Mistry as global Vice President. Mistry is based Silicon Valley US and was involved in the design of the original Galaxy Gear.
The reshuffle involved about 350 people in an effort to fight off competition from low-cost Chinese smartphone makers. It is unknown if Tizen was given a higher priority within the company, but we have heard that management were not happy with the way that the launch of the Tizen smartphone was being handled.
