UPDATE: This is a ROM / Firmware for the Samsung Galaxy Gear ie the first Gear smartwatch SM-V700, and not the Samsung Gear 2 as initially reported.
It had to happen sooner or later, and I’m excited to see the first Tizen based Custom Rom / firmware for the Samsung Galaxy Gear to become available. XDA Developers member Skin1980 is the first with a custom ROM, and he hopes there are more to come 😉

Installation
To install this you have first to update the gear to the last tizen Firmware
- Reboot gear in download mode
- Download Odin 3.09
- in AP field select the ROM file
- Press start and wait till finish
