Developers, get busybox runing on your rooted Samsung Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear

 
Recently the Samsung Gear 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear (Tizen version) have got rooted. Now this opens up more possibilities, and for the seriously tech experts you can do funky things like installing busy box on your Smartwatch.
 

Instructions

  1. Make sure your device is rooted. The following two methods can be used depending on your Gear model number:
  2. Enable root using the sdb root on command
  3. Download the Tizen busy box package
  4. Install the package using sdb shell on the watch by typing rpm -i busybox-1.17.1-2.3.armv7l.rpm

 
Now you get a VI (a CLI text editor) on the Smartwatch, one use case is that you can now edit xml and config files directly on your Smartwatch.
