We are big fans of 3D printing here at Readwrite but where is the fun in simply downloading models off the internet and printing those? What about if you want to scan your own stuff and do that? Well, that’s exactly what we did last June when we took the Moose scanner from 3Dmakerpro and used it to create clones of our faces as well as toys we had from yesterday. It was very cool.
Well, 3DMakerpro is back again with the Eagle spatial 3D scanner that has just gone on pre-order and this could be the handheld device that becomes the go-to for creators and professionals looking for a solution to turn images into data and recreate that data in software. Basically you could scan your room, your house, or even that wonder of the world you have been planning to visit and bring it back to life after the event. Whether for surveying, film production, realty, or, and this maybe says I watch too many true crime documentaries, recording of crime scenes, the Eagle is going to suck in all that data for later use.
It could even be used to create a 3D replica of a house your kids are growing up in so they can revisit it many years in the future. Cool eh?
There is even an image of it attached to a drone, although at this stage we don’t know how that works.
The Eagle 3D Scanner will come in two models, the Eagle Standard and Eagle Max. The standard version has one camera while the Max version comes with three additional cameras – two on the side and one on the top – to boost the scan efficiency by at least 200%, saving precious time for users.
“With the Eagle Series, we are pushing the boundaries of 3D scanning technology to deliver precision, efficiency, and accessibility like never before. Our goal is to empower creators, professionals, and businesses with cutting-edge tools that simplify spatial data capture and open new possibilities in design, analysis, and visualization,” said Tianshi Yuwen, Global Marketing Director of 3DMakerpro.
The Eagle Standard is available at an MSRP of $3,499, with a limited-time pre-order price of $1,799 for the first 500 units. The Eagle Max is priced at an MSRP of $4,399, with an exclusive pre-order price of $2,299 for the first 500 units.
