36 Samsung products bag awards for outstanding design and engineering at CES 2018 Innovation Awards

Samsung Electronics is known as a global manufacturing giant who has much interest in technological advancements to create a smart environment for its numerous consumers. Now, 36 of the Korean tech giant’s products have been recognized at the CES 2018 Innovation Awards. This prestigious award recognizes products with state-of-the-art designs and engineering across 28 product categories. The tech giant who is currently at the hub of IoT development had winning products across Virtual and Augmented Reality, Wearable Technologies, Video Displays, Home Appliances, and Smart Home technology. This is the very first time that Samsung has a winning product in the Fitness, Sports and Biotech category.

This innovation award is sponsored and organized by Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and CES 2018 is scheduled to take place between January 9-12 in Las Vegas. Samsung’s booth will be set up in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center where many of Samsung’s products will be displayed.

Gear Fit2 Pro
Launched at IFA Berlin some months ago, the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro uses a curved 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display and can be used in a water depth up to 50m (5 ATMs). It is designed to capture every run or ride accurately with its continuous heart rate monitoring feature.

Samsung Gear Sport
This wearable was launched alongside the Fit2 Pro at IFA Berlin and the Gear Sport combines a minimalist design with military-grade durability. This device packs a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with 360 x 360 resolution display resolution. Just like the Fit2 Pro, the Gear Sport is 5 ATM certified which means that it can be used in water up to 50m deep.
