Zenrin Datacom, a navigation and software development company based in Tokyo showcased three-dimensional (3D) maops and navigation solution for Tizen IVI at the Exhibit Cutting-Edge IT & Electronics Comprehensive Exhibition (CEATEC) Japan 2013 , 1 -5 October 2013 at Makuhari Messe (Mihama Ward, Chiba City), Tokyo, Japan.
By adding “Car navigation” that relies on Internet access, ZENRIN ensure navigation software in Tizen IVI will be similar as what is on offer in smartphones or tablets today. Zenrin is also known as a major supplier of navigation software for OEMs, telecom operators and car manufacturers in Japan such as MapNavi DoCoMo which is already installed on all the mobile phones that NTT DoCoMo produce.
