Despite intense interest from the geek set, Canonical’s Ubuntu Edge Indiegogo campaign still fell short of its ambitious $32 million funding goal. In fact, project to build a dual-booting, open-source smartphone ended late last night at less than half its goal, with $12.8 million pledged from 27,000 backers. While impressive, that wasn’t even close to the sum needed to greenlight the project.
