Samsung Electronics has announced the certification of the entire range of its 2016 Smart TVs by renowned German testing and certification authority, TÜV Rheinland, for their usability. Aside certifying the TVs’ usability, TÜV Rheinland is also reported to have validated Samsung Smart TVs for their remote features. The certification and validation was awarded to Series 7 and higher Samsung Smart TVs, with specific reference made to the auto-detect feature that identifies external devices connected to the TV, and the Smart Remote that controls multiple devices.
Founded in 1872, TÜV Rheinland boasts of a 140-year history, making it one of the most respected testing and certification authorities in Europe. The company assesses product safety and quality for a range of different industrial products, including electronic devices, automobiles and medical devices.
The certification of Samsung’s Tizen-powered Smart TVs once again brings into focus, the progress being made by the Tizen OS which provides the interface on the Smart TVs and sits as the heart of the Smart TVs. Samsung designed its 2016 Smart TVs with the sole intent of giving its consumers a more comfortable, and intuitive viewing experience. This it is doing through the amazing features the TVs come with, like the auto-detect feature, which recognizes external devices ranging from OTT, set-top boxes, game consoles, to home theatre systems. The Smart TVs also feature a Smart Remote that is capable of controlling multiple devices using one remote control, so you don’t have to keep a mountain load of remotes at home.Can TV viewing experience get any simpler?
Samsung isn’t relenting in seizing every opportunity to showcase its pricey Tizen running Smart TV offerings. It did just that recently at IFA Berlin 2016, giving visitors first-hand feel of the exceptional usability of its Smart TV line-up.
