Total War: Warhammer 3 is getting another DLC, and it is set to release on the 12th of December, 2024. The Omens of Destruction DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3 is the next big DLC expansion, and it will come alongside the game’s huge 6.0 update. Here’s what we know so far:
The team behind TWW3, Creative Assembly, recently dropped a trailer and official post detailing the Omens of Destruction DLC, giving us a sneak peek into its content. The trailer revealed three new Legendary Lords to play – Skulltaker, Gorbad Ironclaw, and Golgfag Maneater – all of whom will come with unique perks, new units, and campaigns.
Skulltaker, the Hero Slayer is a Legendary Lord from Khorne and he’ll be bringing in powerful new units from the Blood God’s domain, including legendary heroes Skarr Bloodwrath and Skyla Anfingrimm. In his campaign, ‘The Cloak of Skulls’, players will need to seek out and beat powerful enemies so that he can add more gruesome skulls to his cloak. For this reason, his playstyle is very focused on honing in on enemy lords and smashing through hoards to reach them. His passive ability, Cloak of Skull, grants increasing spell resistance and ward saves the more enemies he kills.
Gorbad Ironclaw, the Brutal Unifier is a Legendary Lord of the Orcs and Goblins. He’s a pretty infamous Orc Warboss and will be bringing in a ton of his own fierce Orc warriors, like the Savage Orc Great Shaman, Night Goblin Big Boss, and Arachnarok (Flinger) to name a few. His campaign, ‘Da’ Plan’ consists of experimenting with different battle strats to give his army big battle bonuses. His playstyle is all about forcing through enemy lines to get into close combat.
Finally, Golgfag Maneater, the Mercenary is the Legendary Lord from the Ogre Kingdoms. He’s a big deal amongst the Ogre mercenaries and has forged a reputation as a pretty nasty fighter. He’ll be bringing in some new Ogre units, including Golgfag’s Maneaters, Pigback Riders, and the Legendary hero, Bragg the Gutsman. He’s going to plow through hordes of infantry using his crude and barbaric weapons. During his campaign, Mercenary Contracts’, players will help clients throughout the world with various mercenary tasks in exchange for gold.
As with the other TWW3 DLCs – Shadows of Change and Thrones of Decay – you’ll be able to purchase all Legendary Lords separately if you’re not in the market to buy all three of them. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any further updates on the Omens of Destruction DLC, so stay tuned for more Total War: Warhammer 3 content.
