As we have reported Samsung has been sending the parts for its Samsung Z1 SM-Z130H/DS to be assembled at its Noida plant in India, which has the capacity to produce over 4 million handsets per month. The Samsung Z1 was launched in India as the first Tizen based commercial handset at a competitive price of 5,700 INR.
“The compelling proposition of an easy to use and clutter free interface (of Z1), along with premium design has met wide consumer acceptance… The Z1 will be manufactured in company’s Noida plant in UP,” Samsung India Vice President Marketing (Mobile and IT) Asim Warsi told Economic Times.
According to Industry sources, Samsung has sold approximately 50,000 – 55,0000 units of the Smartphone since the 14 January launch. Warsi commented that this figure “surpassed all expectations.” and that “The phone will soon be launched in Bangladesh.”
We are hoping that the Samsung Z1 will be heading to China and South Korea soon.
