Samsung have announced their next flagship phone, the Galaxy S5 in India, and have also released the pricing for their next generation wearables. For Gear 2 we are looking at 21,900 Rs, whilst the Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit can be had for 15,900 Rs. All these new devices will be available for sale on 11 April.
It was hoped that the Gear 2 would be priced a bit lower as this price point is a bit steep for everyday folk in India, and the price was certainly something that was thought to hinder the sales of the original Samsung Galaxy Gear.
Being the first Tizen Wearable device we are obviously already dreaming of all the HTML5 possibilities, but the IP67 certification, heart rate sensor, pedometer, interchangeable straps and standalone music playback capability have got us on the edge of our seats. The Gear 2 Neo is similar to the Gear 2, but does not have a camera.
