The next milestone of Tizen IVI is here with the release of Tizen IVI 3.0 M3. Also Tizen IVI SDK Alpha 3 for In-Vehicle Infotainment has also been released. You can find the complete release notes here.

With this release Tizen IVI is using the Tizen 3.0 Common code base. The Wayland based Weston compositor version 1.5.0 includes two new extensions: xdg-shell and ivi-shell (GENIVI Layer Manager API). The graphics stack is based on Mesa 10.x. GUI toolkits have been upgraded to EFL 1.9.3 and QT 5.3. The former web runtime version Webkit-EFL has been replaced with Crosswalk (http://www.crosswalk-project.org) . Audio was upgraded to Pulseaudio 5.0 and the Resource Policy Manager Engine, Murphy, supports the new web runtime engine. SyncEvolution version 1.4.99.2 offers enhanced Google CardDAV support. Porting Modello (Tizen IVI HTML5 Sample UI) to Crosswalk is on track to be completed by the Tizen IVI 3.0 Final release scheduled for Q1 2015.
