The first Tizen based Smartwatch, the Samsung Gear 2 will go on display in 61 countries and also be available for pre-order globally at more than 1,400 shop starting the 21st March.
“Galaxy devices S5 and new gear designed for what is most important to our customers,” said Lee Young-hee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, IT & Mobile Division (IM) at Samsung Electronics. “We listen carefully to our customers desire when designing this product, and we want to give you the opportunity to experience the Galaxy S5, Gear 2 and Gear Fit as much as possible before they buy it.”
These Global preview’s will take place at the Samsung Experience Stores, mobile phone shops and other major retail outlets. The first countries to offer the preview will be the United States and Switzerland on March 21st, expanding to an additional 59 markets including Brazil, China, Germany, Indonesia and the UK.
The Samsung Gear 2 offers developers the chance to be able to code their HTML5 applications for a much desired (or is it just me?) piece of tech. The addition of a heart rate monitor and IP67 water and dust resistance makes this piece of tech worthy of consideration.
