Samsung Electronics has launched its latest line of IoT-equipped smart home appliances in Mexico. The company unveiled the products under the Smart Living concept, which integrates IoT technology in the decoration of an environment, offering an unparalleled experience to the user. The event was held last week and was attended by around 300 industry representatives and reporters.
Samsung Smart Living
Under the concept of Smart Living, Samsung launched its premium portfolio of products for home and entertainment in Mexico. The portfolio was led by the 2018 lineup of QLED TV, and included the company’s Family Hub smart refrigerator, QuickDrive smart washing machine, The Frame, and Samsung Flip.
“Smart Living redefines the way families take their day to day, work and interact, we shape our vision of an intelligent home fusing technology and design, conceiving new harmonic spaces in the home, with a focus on technical and artistic realization, Intelligent connectivity and the bet on the impossible. Thus, we mold a new standard for everyday life through our products,” said Hervé Baurez, Marketing Director at Samsung Electronics Mexico.
QLED TV 2018
Samsung has now launched the 75-inch model of its QLED TV in Mexico. The new Samsung QLED TV comes with “Ambient Mode” which makes it blend perfectly with the background. When off, the TV can be used to display photos, decorative content, or any other useful information such as weather.
Samsung QLED TVs are available in 49-, 55-, 65- and 75-inches with curved or flat screen.
Family Hub refrigerator
The new Samsung Family Hub refrigerator transforms your kitchen into a new and more pleasant meeting place in the house. This amazing appliance comes equipped with 3 internal cameras that identify the food, and sends alerts about what exists in the refrigerator and what is needed.
The refrigerator also features a 21.5″ Full HD Touch LCD screen allowing you to enjoy audio and video playback while in the kitchen. You can read more about the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator here.
QuickDrive washing machine
QuickDrive is the latest washing technology from Samsung, which offers the superior Samsung quality in half the time. It can be controlled from a smartphone through the SmartThings application. The “Program Recommendation” functions provides the user with tips from experts about ideal wash, depending on the fabric, color and dirt level of the clothes.
The Frame
Samsung also unveiled what it calls a product of its most innovative technology under the Smart Living concept. Called The Frame, it is a smart device that looks similar to a work in an art gallery. When in “Art Mode”, users can choose from over 100 artworks preloaded in the system under different categories, including landscape, wildlife, architecture, drawing, action, and much more. But that’s not it. The Frame can also be turned on into a 4K Ultra HD TV to enjoy favorite on the wall itself.
The Frame is available in 55- and 65-inch options, with Samsung promising to launch a 43-inch model soon.
Samsung Flip
The last product Samsung unveiled under the Smart Living concept in Mexico was the Samsung Flip. It is an interactive screen that offers unlimited tools allowing the user to work more productively and efficiently. With Flip, you can now save everything you talked about in a meeting, and share them easily through digital channels.
