Samsung has today announced another an addition to it’s Tizen-powered POWERbot lineup of vacuum cleaners, the VR7000, to unveiled at CES 2017 in Las Vegas next month.
The POWERbot is an automated and Intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) device and is controllable via an app on your smartphone or mobile device, allowing you to start or stop the machine, schedule cleaning times, and check the cleaning history. In addition, you can control the unit using just your voice with Amazon Echo. You will also be able to Integrate this unit into an automated routine using the SmartThings hub, so, for instance, you can have Goodnight routine that will lock all the doors, switch all lights off, lock the doors, switch off the heating, and get the vacuum to start cleaning.
As part of its feature set, you get Visionary Mapping™ Plus and FullView Sensor™ 2.0, which lets the unit map and remember the contours of the room to provide thorough cleaning. Intelligent Power Control automatically adjusts the power of the suction power, which changes according to what surface it is currently on.
The POWERbotTM VR7000 20 watts of suction power while covering areas that hand-operated vacuum cleaners miss, like under beds or other furniture. This unit is 28% slimmer than the previous Samsung robot vacuums and can work around obstacles that can be as small as 10mm or 0.4/inch. In a survey, 39% of consumers in North America said they expect their robot vacuum cleaner to reach hard-to-reach places and have enough suction capacity to eliminate the need for manual follow-up cleaning.
A unique Self-Cleaning Brush System is also built into the VR7000 unique Self-Cleaning Brush System significantly reduces the amount of dust and hair that gets trapped in the bristles. The POWERbot™ VR7000 has received a 2017 CES Innovation Award recognizing its sleek new design and ability to cover even the most hard to reach places.
