The Tizen based Samsung NX30 Smart Camera has got a firmware update that is dated 20 Aug 2014. We do have a change log as below that points out a couple of Interesting bits:
Firmware Version 1.30
- Add WiFi Privacy Lock Function
- Revision Open Source Licenses
- Fixed intermittent bug: custom mode AWB value change
- Fixed intermittent bug: the focus area position change after making the smallest size
The major change that can be seen from the above is the “Add WiFi Privacy function”, which allows you to set PIN input options for when connecting the camera to a Smartphone. Also we know that the bug that changed the focus area was driving a few people mad, and happily that has now been resolved.
There is talk of a new User Interface being released for the upcoming Tizen NX1 Smart Camera, but if it is a radical change, then we don’t think it will hit the NX30. Keep tuned to Tizen Experts!
