Following the Mobile World Congress this year, Samsung has released the Tizen based Gear 2 nd Gear 2 Neo (the camera-less one). Before that we had their first Smartwatch offering, the Galaxy Gear which initially has a cut down Android OS on it, and later got a Tizen update available for it.
Now in less than 2 weeks Samsung’s IFA 2014 Unpacked event will be upon us (we are still waiting for our invite Samsung), and the possibility of another Tizen based Smartwatch, this time its the Gear 3. According to sources close to Sammobile, the Gear 3 will feature a curved display and a slightly rectangle shaped AMOLED clock face, and a September release date.
The rumours we have been hearing for a while now are that the Gear 3 or Gear Solo as it maybe called, features a SIM Card slot with a built in cellular modem that will enable the Smartwatch to have network connectivity, without the need to connect to a Smartphone.
