Samsung Keynote at CES 2015
BK Yoon, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics, will deliver the opening keynote address at CES 2015, talking about the hot topic of the “Internet of Things”. The Opening Keynote of the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will be made at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2015 in Las Vegas.
Samsung has began creating products that run Tizen, from Smart Cameras to Smart Watches, and soon TV’s and fridges, Tizen is their choice. The belief in Tizen is still very strong within the company and we are now seeing the company hedging more bets on Tizen. The release of the Tizen Z1 Smartphone in India soon will certainly help that.
“The Internet of Things is such an important and exciting topic in our industry right now,” Mr. Yoon said. “I am thrilled to join the conversation at CES this year to discuss how IoT will unlock infinite possibilities, bringing new value to our lives and transforming the way we live.”
It will be Interesting to see if Mr. Yoon actually uses the word Tizen in his Keynote, as Samsung has traditionally been shy in using the mystical name in its more high profile addresses and conferences. Tizen is having its OS foot print scaled down to better fit embedded environments, and 2015 will see some exciting developments.
