The Russia Tizen App Challenge has been launched with the aim of bringing talented application and game developers to the new Tizen platform, for new challenges and above all new opportunities. The competition has started on the 9th June and is open to citizens of the Russia or Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan with permanent or temporary registration in the territory of Russia.
Categories & Prizes
There are two main categories, with additional prizes for apps that also support the Samsung Gear 2 Smart watch:
- Non-gaming app
- Grand prize – 1 200 000 rubles
- Second prize – 900 000 rubles
- Third prize – 700 000 rubles
- Gaming app
- Grand prize – 1 400 000 rubles
- Second prize – 1 000 000 rubles
- Third prize – 800 000 rubles
Additionally 5 prizes for apps supporting Samsung Gear 2 – 200 000 rubles each. This brings the total amount to 7,000,000 rubles.
Milestones
- Submission for phone apps: 09 June – 09 October 2014.
- Submission for phone + Gear 2 apps: 30 June – 09 October 2014.
- Application Judgment: 10 October – 10 November 2014.
- Awards for Prize Winners: 14 November 2014 – 14 March 2015
How to participate
- Register on official web-page of Russia Tizen App Challenge http://www.tizenappchallenge.ru
- Create your app using the Tizen SDK https://developer.tizen.org
- Pass certification in Tizen Store http://seller.tizenstore.com
- Complete your on official web-page and submit your app to the challenge
Disclaimers
- Citizens of Russian Federation are only allowed to participate.
- Format of application must be as a .wgt web apps
- For apps supporting Samsung Gear 2 – type of app must be Linked or Integrated
- Tizen Gear SDK will be available on 27 June 2014
