Paris Saint-Germain takes on Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup in a much-anticipated clash of superstar line-ups.
We look at the best bets ahead of action in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, kicking off at 3 pm local time, 8 pm GMT.
PSG vs Real Madrid Club World Cup betting odds
Both teams have been exceptional going forward in this year’s competition, with PSG, the current kings of European football, putting on a clinic in the last round against a sluggish Bayern Munich side. Achraf Hakimi, formerly of Real, has shone across the competition and has two goals, one assist and three Team of the Week honours so far.

The Parisians would dramatically go down to nine men in regular time, but Ousmane Dembele, the talismanic forward, would add to his goal tally to take it up to 34 in a season that could see him crowned the world’s best player, the Ballon d’Or. He is 5/1, +500 to open the scoring.
Real returning to top form
Real’s transition from a resilient team back to the free-flowing football ingrained in their DNA is taking shape under new coach Xabi Alonso. Fran Garcia looks reborn in a role that allows his explosive pace and strength to be brought to bear in attacking transitions. Arda Guler has continued his stellar form and looks to be cementing his place as the creative outlet for the team.
Trent-Alexander Arnold is also relishing life with the Madrid team; he has managed one assist in the competition so far. Ahead of the tie, he said, “I played PSG this season and they were outstanding. Of course, it’s going to be a difficult game. We’re both in the final four, and we both deserve to be here. In knockout football, anyone can beat anyone.”
It’s a challenging game to call in the New Jersey afternoon sun, as both sides have the quality to win any match. However, there’s a slight advantage to the French side, having the time and the honours in their favour, compared to a team getting to grips with a new manager’s philosophy.
The betting world sides with Le Parisians, offering odds of 8/11, -137 to progress to the next stage. However, Real have a generational talent in Mbappe returning to full fitness and another in Jude Bellingham putting in world-class performances, making the 2/1, +200 odds favourable, to say the least.
As we reported, another young player with Garcia on the back of the Los Blancos jersey, Gonzalo, has emerged as a contender for a starting berth.
He has scored four goals in this competition and has become the only other player to reach that FIFA tally, aside from Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2016 Intercontinental Cup. Gonzalo Garcia is 15/2, +750 to strike first and add to his impressive haul.
Garcia has competition in the returning Mbappe, who was seen coming off the bench in the previous match against Borussia Dortmund. The Germans couldn’t keep up with the pace of the mercurial Frenchman as he hit the winning goal and banished any doubts around his lethality. Mbappe is 9/2, +450 in the lowest odds on offer to score first.
