Ode to Castlevania Vampire Survivors gets an actual ode to Castlevania

Vampire Survivors is a great game that has done very well for itself as far as being one of the easiest games ever to play, yet fiendishly complicated with its builds as you pray to the RNG gods for the upgrades you need.

The devs at Poncle have released a trailer for the next VS DLC which is collab with Konami vamp classic Castlevania and it will release right around the corner on Halloween this year.

Already laden with great (and cheap) DLC, the Castlevania content will bring Vampire Survivors full circle. It already paid a lot of homage to Castlevania with some of its characters, but now more than 20 characters and 40 weapons, all approved by Konami are on the way.

A spokesperson for Poncle said, “Vampire Survivors join forces once more with KONAMI, this time featuring their notable Castlevania franchise, in a new DLC which many have been anticipating!

“The Vampire Survivors have come a long way in their honorable hunt, and after joining forces with the Belmont Family, they are the closest they’ve ever been!

“This all-out celebration has over 20 new characters, 40+ weapons including more whips than you can count on one hand, 30+ music tracks from Vampire Survivors historic composers Daniele Zandara and Filippo Vicarelli, but also from fan-favorites Evelyn Lark and Keygen Church! The BIGGEST stage we’ve made yet! Even though we’re literally at Dracula’s Castle, there’s still zero vampires?”

Vampire Survivors is billed by Poncle as a “supernatural indie phenomenon that lets you be the bullet hell!”, where, “all you can do is survive as long as you can until death inevitably puts an end to your struggles. Gather gold in each run to buy upgrades and help the next survivor.”

Estimated to have sold six million copies on Steam alone, the game came to PlayStation earlier this year with one of the biggest Trophy lists we have ever seen in a game,
