Mobeewave to launch its contactless mobile-POS solution in UAE

Mobeewave, a Montreal, Canada based fintech startup, is all set to launch its payment acceptance platform in the UAE, the company has announced. The service will be enabled by Network International, a leading payments product provider in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, in partnership with Mastercard and IDEMIA. This marks the debut of Mobeewave’s platform in the MEA region.

Mobeewave tap-on-phone solution

Designed to turn smartphone into a payment terminal, Mobeewave’s patented tap-on-phone solution enables people to accept payment from a contactless card or mobile wallet using just their phone. No external hardware is required. It is literally an inexpensive and convenient alternative to traditional point of sale (POS) offerings.
Mobeewave’s tap-on-phone solution leverages the NFC capability of smartphones to allow individuals and merchants to accept contactless payments. It meets all the payment industry security standards, the company claims. UAE becomes only the fourth market to get Mobeewave’s tap-on-phone solution, with Australia, Canada and Poland being the other three.
