Rochester, New Hampshire, is now home to a new gaming and entertainment destination with the introduction of Lilac Club Casino.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 10 welcomed local officials, business leaders, and invited guests to mark the occasion.
The casino, located at 7 Milton Road, will officially open to the public on March 14 at 9:00 AM, offering a variety of different games for eager players to enjoy.
New entertainment hub in Rochester
Spanning 32,000 square feet, the casino features over 200 gaming machines, a selection of table games — including Blackjack, Roulette, and Craps — and a 12-table poker room.
The venue also offers a range of Carnival Games with progressive jackpots, adding to the variety of options for visitors, meaning there’s something for everyone.
For dining, Lilac Club Casino has partnered with Boston-based hospitality group Briar Group to create Lucky Oak Bar & Grill, only enhancing the overall experience.
The restaurant will serve a mix of classic and contemporary dishes, along with craft cocktails and locally brewed New Hampshire beers.
A boost for the local economy
Eric Barbaro, Chief Operating Officer of Granite State Gaming & Hospitality, emphasized the casino’s role in supporting Rochester’s growth:
“Lilac Club Casino is more than just a gaming venue — it’s part of the local economy. We’re creating jobs, forming partnerships, and adding a new entertainment option for the community. We look forward to welcoming guests and becoming a key player in Rochester’s continued success.”
Dwayne MacEwen, Founder and Principal of DMAC Architecture & Interiors, highlighted the significance of reimagining the space:
“This project required a thoughtful approach to design. As shopping malls evolve, entertainment is becoming a key driver in bringing people together. We aimed to modernize traditional mall aesthetics while creating an inviting atmosphere.”
A step toward expanded gaming in Rochester?
Lilac Club Casino’s opening comes amid ongoing discussions in Rochester about the future of gambling in the city.
In late 2023, officials revisited the idea of allowing a retail sportsbook — a proposal that had been narrowly rejected in 2019.
With this aforementioned casino launch, it could reignite those conversations as gaming expands in the region.
With its official opening on March 14, Lilac Club Casino is expected to draw visitors from across New Hampshire and beyond, adding a new attraction to the local entertainment landscape.
