The race to innovate in prediction markets is heating up. Mantle has unveiled InsightX, which it describes as the first AI-native prediction market for the 2026 World Cup. The platform combines AI-generated market intelligence with on-chain trading, allowing users to make forecasts across sports, crypto, and real-world events while earning yield on their capital.

"The financial markets of tomorrow will not just be markets for assets, they will be markets for information," said Florian J., CEO at InsightX. "Mantle gives us the high-performance, low-cost foundation to build that future. We are not just building a prediction market. We are building the predictive economic layer that Mantle's ecosystem deserves."

Another new player is entering the prediction markets space. Luffa has launched the open beta of PolyMind, a social forecasting platform that aims to blend prediction markets with community-driven engagement. To kick things off, the company is running a World Cup prediction campaign, inviting users to make forecasts, share insights, and compete with others throughout the tournament.

"Forecasting should serve as a catalyst for collective intelligence and social cohesion, not another anxiety-inducing speculative exchange," stated a representative from the Luffa ecosystem. "Recognizing PolyMind's commitment to disrupting this uneven playing field, we have positioned it as the flagship application of Luffa's social forecasting ecosystem. Our goal is to steer forecasting back to its pure essence: close-knit social connection and synchronized community experiences."

Nevada is also turning up the pressure on Kalshi.

State regulators have asked a court to hold the prediction market operator in contempt, arguing it failed to comply with an order requiring it to geofence Nevada users from accessing sports, election, and entertainment event contracts. Nevada is also seeking significant monetary penalties.

CFTC vs. New Mexico

Suswati Basu Suswati Basu

Good morning, and welcome to our prediction markets live blog.

It's shaping up to be another busy week for Kalshi. Over the weekend, the CFTC sued New Mexico, escalating the growing legal battle over sports event contracts and prediction markets.

At the heart of the dispute is who gets to regulate these markets. The CFTC argues that federal law gives it exclusive authority over exchanges it regulates, including Kalshi. New Mexico, meanwhile, contends that Kalshi's sports-related contracts amount to illegal gambling under state law.

We'll be following this story and other major developments throughout the day.
