Is Godzilla bugged in Fortnite? How often is the big lizard glitching out?

The Godzilla Fortnite event is pretty cool. In games where the big guy spawns in it gives one lucky player the chance to take over the infamous Japanese monster and wreak a little havoc on the map, before invariably being taken down by the hordes of players keep to finish him off.

It’s super tough to win as the big G – nigh on impossible, the weight of the game is so against you and we are hoping Epic is perhaps working on a balance hotfix to mend this and at least give you half a chance. Some players however are reporting a mysterious glitch in the game that can make Godzilla invincible (kinda like real life – well not real life because it’s obviously not real, but you know what I mean).

Lizards eat bugs right? It seems in Fortnite’s Godzilla event, it may be the other way around.

For some reason on occasion Godzilla spawns and won’t take any damage, the player controlling him doesn’t get the Godzilla interface and even when he dies he just respawns again.

It doesn’t seem to happen often but there are enough reports circulating the internet to suggest it is not a one-off either, but when it does it can actually lead to a super-rare win for the G-man as you can see from this Reddit post below.

Epic Games has traditionally been quick to fix up issues with its event although some, like the infamous Spiderman web-slinging bug which broke the game entirely needed the entire mechanic of web-slinging removing first. Here’s hoping that Godzilla doesn’t need to be turned off an on again to get him working properly.

Meanwhile if you are still trying to find Godzilla you can check out our page here along with one showing all the quests for this latest Fortnite event.
