Is Delta Force on PS5 yet? Console versions incoming?

There is a great deal of confusion around what, where, and with who you can play the new FPS shooter Delta Force at the moment. Is it out, is it not out and can you play it on a console?

Well to clear at least some of it up, the game is not out fully yet and has been released currently as a PC-only demo as part of Steam Next Fest, the twice-yearly showcase of upcoming PC games.

Is Delta Force coming to PS5 and Xbox?

We have had confirmation that Delta Force will be coming to multiple platforms other than PC when the devs recently said, “The game will be available on PS4/5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, Epic, iOS, and Android platforms”.

Delta Force was also shown off as a PS4 and PS5 trailer at Summer Game Fest earlier in the year so it is definitely incoming, as they say in the military.

When is Delta Force out on PS5?

As yet there is no timeline for the console release – there isn’t even a date for the PC release yet. People have suddenly got excited because of the arrival of the demo. Our best guess is it won’t be too long now. Once this multiplayer demo is out of the way we expect to get a firmed-up release date, and that will probably include all formats. Until then, we will just have to wait and see and check out some of the Twitch Drops for the game.

What is Delta Force?

Delta Force is a tactical FPS shooter that is more Escape from Tarkov than Call of Duty. It was originally titled Delta Force: Hawk Ops but the last rubbish bit of the moniker has now been dropped. It is part of the lineage of Delta Force games by NovaLogic stretching back into the 1990s, but this reboot has little to do with those games other than the name alone.

There are three modes – large-scale PvP warfare, an extraction mode, and a paid-for content Black Hawk Down (which was also covered in the older games) and has the official license for the Ridley Scott movie covering the same event in Mogadishu.
