Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch Dec. 9, 2024 for Windows PC and Xbox Series X, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass day one. Furthermore, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch for PlayStation 5 in spring of 2025.
Troy Baker narrated the first big trailer since a gameplay reveal dropped in January. It lays out more of the sprawling story inside Machinegames and Bethesda Softworks’ take on Lucasfilm’s amazing high adventure franchise. The trailer isn’t just pre-rendered cutscenes either; it’s also a smashcut of exploration, combat, and platform puzzling. See for yourself:
“This is an incredible new way to experience Indiana Jones, and I can’t wait for you to play it,” Baker says.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, cutscenes notwithstanding, is a first-person game for a reason, Baker says. “We all get to feel what it’s like to become Indy,” he says. “You are the one who cracks the whip, who feels the weight of every punch. and the thrill of finding every clue.”
Exploration and puzzle-solving will be a big part of this game, as evidenced by its use of a camera and Indy’s journal. “This game has everything you’d expect from an Indiana Jones adventure.”
The biggest surprise in the trailer, if not the fact this game will launch before the end of the year, is that it’s also coming to PlayStation 5 after a modest amount of time to drag an audience to Xbox Game Pass.
It’s only been three years since the game’s existence was revealed; another three or four months after its debut on PC and Xbox Series X shouldn’t be too long of a wait, provided PlayStation fans can keep themselves spoiler-free.
