Genius Sports locks in major esports data partnerships with GRID and Bayes

Genius Sports has signed two high-profile deals aimed at cementing its position as a go-to source for official esports data in the betting space.

The company has joined forces with GRID Esports and Bayes Esports to deliver sportsbooks a more robust, official and low-latency data pipeline for some of the most bet-on esports titles worldwide.

GRID partnership brings access to premier titles

Through its agreement with GRID, Genius Sports gains exclusive access to official live data from major esports titles like League of Legends and VALORANT — the latter of which is quickly becoming one of the fastest-growing esports betting markets.

The partnership also covers Rainbow Six, along with extensive data sets from top-tier tournaments in Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 powered by BLAST and Champion of Champions Tour events.

GRID, known for working directly with game publishers, will also supply Genius with official streams and interactive data visualizations — tools that help sportsbooks deliver more engaging betting experiences.

Alongside the GRID deal, Genius Sports is strengthening its live data capabilities with Bayes Esports, which holds exclusive partnerships with ESL FACEIT Group and other top-tier tournament organizers.

Bayes brings highly detailed, official live match data for CS2 and Dota 2 — titles that have long been among the highest revenue drivers for esports betting platforms.

As part of the collaboration, Bayes’ data-driven widgets and ultra low-latency video feeds will be integrated into Genius Sports’ offerings.

Some Genius Sports products will also be distributed via Bayes’ own channels, signaling a two-way data and content exchange.

Full esports betting suite coming to sportsbooks

The dual partnership positions Genius Sports to offer sportsbooks a complete esports betting solution, including pre-match and in-play trading powered by verified and real-time data.

With ultra-low latency feeds, operators will be able to provide more competitive odds and reduce market downtime — two key factors for driving engagement and maximizing turnover.

“This is a huge moment for our esports strategy,” said Matt Stephenson, Global Partnerships Director at Genius Sports. “With GRID and Bayes on board, we can now offer sportsbooks a premium, all-in-one esports product backed by the most reliable data in the space.”

A growing vertical in focus

The deal comes at a time when Genius Sports is doubling down on esports and technology.

Earlier this year, the company reported $510.9 million in 2024 revenue — up 24% from the previous year — and recently appointed Mark Kropf as Chief Technology Officer.

While the company is also dealing with a legal challenge from Panda Interactive over alleged antitrust issues, its esports expansion shows no signs of slowing.

As betting interest around esports continues to grow, especially among younger demographics, Genius Sports’ partnerships with GRID and Bayes could offer operators a more competitive edge in what’s becoming an increasingly important vertical for sportsbooks worldwide.
