Pokemon TCG Pocket is a fun new way to collect the ever-popular cards in digital form, removing the need for cumbersome binders taking up space in your room.
Because it is a digital experience, there are new additions to the formula such as a refined battling system and the ability to actually customize your cards.
This can be done via adding something called Flair and here, we’ll teach you how to do this so you can make your collection stand out against others.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Flair: How to add
If you like the idea of making your cards a little fancy in Pokemon TCG Pocket, as previously stated, this can be done through adding Flair.
These are little effects that can be seen both in your collection and in battle, jazzing things up a bit.
There are two types of Flair – Cosmetic and Battle – with the latter only being shown when your card enters the field.
To get the Flair process going, you must have duplicates of the card you want to change, as well as having enough Shinedust to complete the process.
The amount of Shinedust varies depending on the card as well as the tier you’re going for, so make sure you’re stocked up if you’re looking to do this to a bunch of cards.
With this in mind, to add Flair to your cards, locate the one you want to customize in your collection and press on it.
This will enlarge it and also show an option to ‘Obtain Flair’ which you’ll need to hit to proceed.
You’ll now be able to exchange the required items for the Flair you’d like!
You can then equip these Flairs and if you’re building Decks, you can change things up here also to ensure you have all the Cosmetic and Battle Flairs ready to go.
Something to note though is that you cannot add Cosmetic Flair to any cards of one star rarity and up.
This is probably due to the fact that these are usually fuller arts or special illustrations so adding Flair doesn’t really make sense, and likely hasn’t been designed with these in mind.
