FanDuel introduces AceAI sportsbook chatbot

FanDuel has confirmed a new AI-powered chat feature called AceAI.

The tool is believed to be the first of its kind in the betting industry, providing bettors with data insights for analysis and assistance to place bets.

The generative AI sports chatbot is available within the FanDuel Sportsbook app for the National Basketball Association (NBA) and National Football League (NFL) markets, but the major U.S. gambling operator intends to add more sports options at a later date.

AceAI can be activated by speaking or typing into the chat function on the app, then users can use it to find relevant bets, to build parlays, or to find specific infor on teams and athletes.

FanDuel has opted for a cautious, phased rollout of AceAI, including limited offerings. At first, the tool will only be available to a very small number (around 1%) of the company’s vast user base, but there is scope for significant acceleration.

That could include the addition of in-game betting, Next-Gen Stats, and hybrid sport parlays.

Empower customers to make educated decisions

Jon Sadow, vice president of product transformation and innovation at FanDuel, told Forbes:

“As the leading sportsbook we think there’s an opportunity for us to set the pace on what experiences should look like for customers.”

He added, “We are in a position as a market leader to have a tremendous amount of data that we can actually put into customers’ hands that empower them to make educated decisions.”

FanDuel has not yet indicated if the AceAI service will be introduced to the vast majority of its customer base for the beginning of the new NFL season in September.
