Assetto Corsa EVO release slips to January according to latest financial report from the publisher

The Italian parent company of Kunos, Digital Bros has published its latest financial report, within which it is mentioned that the highly anticipated Assetto Corsa Evo – the follow-up to one of the best-selling racing sims of all time, Assetto Corsa, will now not appear in 2024 as first expected, but will pull out of the pit lane in Early Access in January 2025.

There is no indication of how long Early Access is expected to last at this stage and a delay until January is not the end of the world, although we are still yet to see anything substantial of the game.

What we have seen however looks spectacular in terms of graphics at least. With that said, many mods already exist for the original game, even though it is nearly a decade old which can make it look hyper-realistic so Evo may need more than that to turn the heads of long-term fans.

One thing Assetto Corsa Evo will have baked in for the off however is support for virtual reality which will mean sim racers with headsets such as the Pimax Crystal Light or even the Quest 3 will be well catered for.

  • Net result negative by 6.2 million euros.
  • Net financial position negative by 24.8 million euros, with significant improvement.
  • Forecast for declining revenues and stable margins for the next fiscal year.
