Now is the time to play online poker in Thailand, with the government classifying poker as a sport in 2025 and legalizing the game. This was a landmark moment for the industry, though the online game has yet to be legislated for. Even so, WPT and other global tournaments in Thailand are attracting thousands of players, and pros like Punnat Punsri are making a name for themselves on the world stage.
We’ve tested more than 25 top poker sites in Thailand, testing them for traffic, games, and promotions. We’ve prioritised sites that support VPNs for greater privacy and security, as well as those that accept Baht payment methods or offer instant currency exchange when depositing.

5 Best Online Poker Sites in Thailand Reviewed
The best poker sites in Thailand offer soft games, plenty of bonuses, and secure software. Throw in fast withdrawals from any location, and you’ve got all the right components for online poker in Thailand.
After scouring the market and testing dozens of sites, we found that the five sites below came out tops in terms of traffic, game selection, and the number of tournaments at low and high stake levels.
We love CoinPoker for two reasons: 33% rakeback and fishy Texas Hold’em games. Rakeback is rare these days because operators tend to focus on slightly less lucrative loyalty rewards instead. So this is a superb deal.
CoinPoker keeps rewards old-school, which is why you get a straight 33% rakeback every week. No need to climb loyalty tiers or hit any thresholds. This is coupled with a 5% rake on cash games, which is lower than some other top-rated Thai poker sites. Tournament rake is also below the industry average, starting at 8% and dropping to 4% as you move up in stakes.
The combination of generous rakeback and low rake boosts your ROI by a decent margin, even if you’re a break-even player. Most players who master the basics have a good shot at being better than break-even at CoinPoker.
Its Hold’em cash games, particularly four-max tables, are incredibly soft at all stakes up to $2/$4. Above that, there are some tough players, but it’s not until you get to $50/$100 and above that you encounter world-class GTO pros.
Our tip is to try CoinPoker’s Pot Limit Omaha games. Learn the basics first, of course. If you do that and play tight, there’s even more value in these games because we’ve seen it first-hand.
Traffic can be a bit slow at times, particularly compared to ACR. But, when it comes to potential returns, CoinPoker is almost unbeatable, and that’s not even taking into account that you can make anonymous crypto withdrawals in under five minutes.
What we like
- Instant and anonymous withdrawals
- Provably fair RNG
- 33% rakeback
- Cash game from 2 NL to 1 million NL
What we dislike
- Mobile site, but no app
- CHP token needed for rakeback
ACR launched in 2001 and has since become the world’s largest offshore poker room. The downside of attracting upwards of 13,000 players at peak times is that some of them are pros, which makes higher-stakes games harder to beat.
During our time testing ACR, we played against quite a few weak players, particularly in ACR’s Omaha games. We’ve even come up against a few bots which, despite what you might think, aren’t always better than humans. Tournaments are certainly ACR’s best feature, but cash games are fun thanks to Bomb Pots, quick-bet buttons, and the ability to run hands twice. But, as good as cash games are, MTTs and SNGs shine brightest.
Spinz are three-handed jackpot SNGs that offer random prizes worth up to $600,000. ACR also offers over $9 million in MTT guarantees every week with more than 200 tournaments a day. This schedule is backed by seasonal events, including the record-breaking $10 million guaranteed Venom. Even if you can’t cover the $2,650 entry fee, ACR runs hundreds of Venom satellites. It even has a staking feature so you can sell your action.
What we like
- Over $9 million in weekly payouts
- $600,000 SNG jackpots
- Bomb pots and run it twice
- Low 3% MTT rake
What we dislike
- Games can be tough to beat
- Bots have been detected
BCPoker is one of the best online poker sites in Thailand because it has unique features like all-in or fold SNGs, crypto payments, and private games.
BCPoker is a relative newcomer, launching in 2025. Industry newbies usually struggle to attract players, which is why BCPoker can’t compete with ACR in terms of traffic and tournament guarantees. The area it can compete in is payments. As a crypto poker site, BCPoker offers a selection of instant-payment options, including BTC, ETH, and USDT. The added benefit of crypto payments is that transactions are anonymous, which is great for anyone wanting to play poker online in Thailand.
Once you’ve got funds in your account, BCPoker has soft Hold’em, 6+, and Omaha cash games starting at $0.02/$0.05. Games go as high as $100/$200, but most of the action takes place at $0.50/$1 and below.
Freerolls and MTTs (starting at 25 cents) are just as soft, making BCPoker an ideal place for beginners. It’s also great for aspiring pros because the mobile app (iOS and Android) makes it easy to target fishy players anytime.
Finally, the best feature inside BCPoker’s instant-play site and app is the home game tool. You can play against friends in a fun, friendly environment.
What we like
- Incredibly soft games
- Instant-play site and mobile app
- Host your own games
- Crypto withdrawals in <5 minutes
What we dislike
- Less than 500 players at peak times
- Small tournament prize pools
KKPoker is the best mobile poker app in Thailand, and it’s not just because you can download optimized software for iOS and Android. Most top poker sites in Thailand offer instant-play software for at least one mobile operating system, so KKPoker’s apps for all devices are impressive. Beyond that, apps give you easy access to soft games whenever you want.
Even though ACR, CoinPoker, and Black Chip have more active daily users, they don’t attract as many fish on a per-player basis as KKPoker. That’s why 24/7 access to cash games and MTTs is useful.
The reason KKPoker appeals to inexperienced players is its novel features. The 2025 Micro Master, for example, paid out over $110,000 across a series of MTTs with buy-ins as low as 3 cents.
KKPoker also offers up to 50% rakeback, daily leaderboard promotions, and fun in-game features like EV chops, bomb pots, and a HUD equivalent called Player Value Index. Finally, besides Hold’em and Omaha, you can play Pineapple Poker.
What we like
- Up to 50% rakeback
- Bombs and EV chop tool
- Inbuilt HUD
- Novel games, including Pineapple
What we dislike
- Not much traffic
- Welcome bonus isn’t as large as competitors
RedStar Poker joined the iPoker Network in 2020, but has been a poker staple since 2005. And if you’re looking to stretch your bankroll as much as possible, RedStar’s variety of bonuses and promotions will help you get started right.
RedStar has one of the best welcome bonuses we’ve seen, with a 200% match deposit up to $2,000. You also get a generous 60 days to claim the full bonus amount, more than what most of the competition offers.
You collect SP (Status Points) to unlock the bonus, but this also contributes to the VIP program and sets how much rakeback you get. To start, RedStar’s loyalty program has just two levels: Red and Star. Red’s for everybody, and you can exchange 50 SP for €1, a rakeback equivalent of 20%. And with 5000 SP a month, you move to Star, which pushes the rakeback to a solid 35% (29 SP for €1).
RedStar also has a fun spin lottery. You earn tickets by making a deposit, playing 250 poker hands a day, or by making casino bets and sports wagers. The prizes aren’t huge, but any free add-on is useful. You can win up to $250 in cash, poker tournament tickets, and more free spins.
Of course, you’ll need to play poker to earn SP and take advantage of all these promos. Most of the action is at the micro- and low-stakes Texas Hold’em and Omaha tables, and RedStar has a decent tournament schedule with more than 100 a day and 12.5 million Euros in weekly guarantees.
What we like
- 200% match up to $2,000 welcome bonus, with 60 days to claim the entire amount
- 20% rakeback available to everybody, goes up to 35% for regs
- Different weekly leaderboards with good prizes
- More than 100 tournaments a day
What we dislike
- No iOS app
- Little action at the higher stakes
Is Online Poker Legal in Thailand?
Poker is legal in Thailand, but that wasn’t always the case. The breakthrough came on July 30, 2025, when Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Phumtham Wechayachai signed a bill classifying poker as a sport.
This change, brought in by Ministry Order No. 2253/2568, means poker is no longer included in Thailand’s Gambling Act of 1935. As a result, poker is now legal in Thailand, and events can be held without parliamentary approval.
The Future of Online Poker in Thailand
Classifying poker as a sport is, quite possibly, the start of broader changes to Thailand’s gambling laws. If poker’s popularity increases, there will be greater demand for online games, which, at least nationally, aren’t available right now.
Until then, international online poker sites are available in Thailand. That’s why it’s still a gray market. Put simply, online poker is legal in Thailand, but there aren’t any local operators.
There are, however, international poker sites in Thailand that aren’t governed by local laws. These sites, including CoinPoker and ACR, follow global gambling regulations. They’re also open to players around the world, which means there’s no shortage of action.
How to Play Online Poker in Thailand
The Thai government has historically targeted operators rather than players where there is cause to suspect foul play. So, as long as you follow the steps below and use regulated poker sites in Thailand, you’ll be able to ante up safely:
- Enable a VPN (e.g., Nord or CyberGhost) to connect to offshore poker sites using a stable, secure international IP address.
- Make deposits and withdrawals in currencies compatible with international poker sites. In most cases, this means using USD or, better yet, decentralized currencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). You can use Baht but your deposit will be converted at the cashier so watch the latest exchange rates.
- Now you can choose one of our and download the software.
- Make the minimum deposit required to claim the poker room’s welcome bonus.
- Head to the lobby and pick a game. You can filter games and tournaments based on stakes, buy-ins, and game types.
Online Poker Bonuses in Thailand
Online poker bonuses, from welcome offers to rakeback, boost your bankroll when results go your way and offset losses when bad beats strike.
With poker promotions unaffected by variance, you need to use sites that provide a steady stream of added value. Our recommended online poker sites in Thailand give you easy access to these bonuses:
Welcome Bonus
What are welcome bonuses? The best online poker sites in Thailand reward new players with bonuses. These bonuses include free site credit and tournament tickets. They’re unlocked by registering and making an initial deposit.
The best Thai poker site for welcome bonuses: CoinPoker has a great welcome bonus for Thai poker players. You get 1.5x more credit when you make an initial deposit. The site’s currency is a crypto called USDT. If you deposit $500, for example, you’ll get $750 in bonus credit.
Pro Tip
Bonus credit can’t be withdrawn until it’s been released. You release bonus credit by generating rake through cash games and tournaments. It’s easier to generate rake in cash games, so they’re ideal for unlocking bonuses.
Reload Bonus
What are reload bonuses? A reload bonus gives you extra credit for depositing money on specific days or with a unique promo code. A multiplier defines the amount of bonus credit you receive. For example, a 25% reload bonus is worth 25% of your deposit’s value.
The best Thai poker site for reload bonuses: Reload bonuses aren’t as popular in poker as they used to be, but online casinos still offer them. That’s why BCPoker and its crypto casino cousin, BC.Game, is a great place to find them.
Pro Tip
These poker bonuses are all about timing. If you’re going to deposit money, do it when you’ve got access to a reload bonus.
Rakeback
What is rakeback? Rakeback is a cash rebate paid into your account weekly. The rebate is based on the amount of rake you’ve paid (aka generated). The best rakeback deals pay out more than 20%. For example, if you pay $500 in rake and get 20% rakeback, your rebate will be $100.
The best Thai poker site for rakeback: CoinPoker is the best place to play real-money poker online in Thailand if you want rakeback. Everyone who holds CoinPoker’s native token (CHP) gets 33% weekly rakeback.
Pro Tip
Rakeback is always there. As long as you play real-money cash games and tournaments, you’ll be earning rakeback. So, the best thing you can do is play games you enjoy. Doing this means you’re more likely to play consistently, which is the key to earning maximum rakeback.
Free Tournament Tickets
What are free tournament tickets? You can play online poker for free in Thailand by earning tournament tickets. Whichever way you earn tickets, the outcome is the same: you get to play real-money tournaments for free.
The best Thai poker site for free tournament tickets: ACR is a great place to pick up free tournament tickets. The main promotion to look out for is Venom Vault, which contains prizes ranging from satellite tickets to seats in the $2,650 Venom main event.
Pro Tip
The best way to get maximum value from tournament ticket bonuses is to embrace the moment. That means playing your normal strategy, even if the top prize is $1 million. You haven’t paid to enter, so there’s no risk. Use this to your advantage and play confidently.
Freerolls
What are freerolls? Another way to play poker online for free in Thailand is to enter tournaments without an entry fee. These tournaments are called freerolls, and the neat thing about them is that they pay cash prizes.
The best Thai poker site for freerolls: Check out Black Chip if you want a free poker game in Thailand. In addition to $50 freerolls that start every three hours, Black Chip has free satellites for its biggest MTTs, including Venom.
Pro Tip
Freerolls are full of players who want to play online poker for free in Thailand. And since they haven’t paid to enter, they’re much more willing to gamble. The most effective way to exploit these players is by playing tight-aggressive. Fold weak hands, bet big when you’ve got something strong, and don’t bluff much (or at all).
Types of Poker Games in Thailand
You can learn the basics of how to play poker here at ReadWrite before taking to the tables. If you already know how to play, here are the three ways you can play online poker in Thailand:
Texas Hold’em
Texas Hold’em is poker’s most popular variant. It’s used for the biggest tournaments, including the famous WSOP Main Event.
Its popularity comes from the fact that everyone gets two hole (aka private) cards. From there, five community cards are dealt in stages. Betting takes place at every stage of the hand. If one player forces everyone to fold, they win the pot. If two or more players make it to the river, a showdown occurs, and the best-ranked hand wins.
No Limit is the most popular format because it’s easier to put pressure on opponents and force them to fold.
This gives you scope to be creative and get maximum value from strong and weak hands. That’s why Thailand’s top poker sites have games where you can play for $1 or over $1million.
Best Place to Play Hold’em in Thailand: CoinPoker
Six Plus Hold’em
The popularity of Hold’em has spawned a new variant called Six Plus (6+). Also known as Short Deck, this variant strips out all cards below six.
With fewer cards, flushes become harder to make than full houses. This adds a unique dynamic to the hand rankings. When antes are added to the mix, 6+ takes on a life of its own and becomes a much more volatile game than Texas Hold’em.
Omaha
Omaha has the same flop, turn, and river as Hold’em, but it’s a different game because you get four hole cards instead of two. Just as importantly, you must use two of your four hole cards.
More hole cards mean more ways to make hands. This increases the likelihood that hands will be counterfeited as you move from the flop to the turn and river. Finally, because Omaha games are Pot Limit, it’s hard to pressure players.
This makes it more likely that the hands you play go to the flop. For these reasons, Omaha is a volatile and exciting game. At most poker sites in Thailand, you can play cash games from $2 PL to $100,000 PL.
Best Place to Play Omaha Online in Thailand: Black Chip
Hi/Lo and 5-Card Omaha
Some Thai poker sites also have Pot Limit Omaha tournaments starting at $5. If that’s not enough Omaha action, you can try spinoff variants like Hi/Lo (pots are split between the best high and low-ranking hands) and 5-Card Omaha (you get five hole cards).
Other Poker Variants
Although poker has many other variants, including Draw, Razz, and Mixed Games, Thai poker sites don’t offer them. You can play Stud, though.
ACR Poker offers 7-Card Stud and Stud Hi/Lo. 7-Card Stud is a non-community card game, which means you only play with the cards you’re dealt. Three of your seven cards are face down. The rest are face up, which lets you decide what other players might have.
Unfortunately, you won’t find any Stud tournaments online. There are, however, cash games. Table stakes start at $0.01/$0.02 and go up to $40/$80 on ACR. The only problem with Stud is that it’s not as popular as it once was.
Best Place to Play Stud Online in Thailand: ACR
Payment Methods
Online poker’s universal currency is USD, which is why cashier pages of Thailand’s top sites contain international payment methods like Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, and bank transfer.
These methods are safe and secure, but they’re not suitable for playing online poker in Thailand due to local gambling laws. Even though times are changing, banks and financial institutions are slow to catch up.
Using Crypto to Play Poker in Thailand
Fortunately, there is another solution. Cryptocurrencies exist on decentralized blockchains, making them available to everyone in every country.
This opens up a world of possibilities for anyone wanting to play real-money online poker in Thailand. Because CoinPoker, ACR, and other top-rated sites accept crypto deposits, you can fund your account without any issues.
Instant Crypto Cashouts
Even better, you can withdraw money safely, privately, and instantly. Most players start with Bitcoin (BTC), but it’s not the best cryptocurrency for online poker payments. In our experience, Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Tether (USDT) are better because transactions are processed within seconds.
That’s not to say Bitcoin is slow. Transactions still take less than 30 minutes, which is faster than any fiat withdrawal method. But, in terms of blockchain transaction times, other cryptos are more efficient.
Private Poker Withdrawals
SOL also offers slightly more privacy than BTC. Again, cryptocurrencies are private and secure. But when it comes to payment methods at the best online poker sites in Thailand, SOL ticks more boxes for anonymity.
