CopyBet officially joins the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA)

The UK-based betting agency CopyBet has officially joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA).

The commitment was announced earlier in May, with the IBIA being a voice on integrity for the licensed betting industry.

After being established in 2005, the members involved share a common goal of “combating betting corruption to protect the integrity of sport and of their businesses.”

Now that CopyBet has joined the organization, data from its online betting platform will be shared with IBIA’s global monitoring network which includes over 80 companies and 140 sports betting brands.

Speaking on the new agreement, Anton Ivanov, the business development director at CopyBet UK, said: “Responsible gambling, and looking after our customers, is part of our core values at CopyBet, and joining the International Betting Integrity Association will enable us to continue providing safe gambling conditions for our players.

“We look forward to working with IBIA and support its mission of protecting the integrity of the industry.”

CopyBet has a fully automated system design

CopyBet operates under a UK Gambling Commission License and Class B bookmaker’ license in Cyprus. It launched in 2016 and is also a member of the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS).

It works slightly differently to traditional sportsbook operators, as it allows customers to copy the bets of tipsters. Tipsters are ranked on the platform based on their recent betting performance and are rated on profitability, risk level and relevance while a ‘LimitLoss’ feature has also been designed. The system is a completely automated design.

Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, said: “IBIA is pleased to welcome Copybet as our newest member to our growing association.

“This partnership strengthens our global monitoring network and reinforces our shared commitment to protecting the integrity of sport and regulated betting markets.

“We look forward to working closely with CopyBet to detect and deter betting-related corruption and to protect the integrity of the markets offered to consumers.”
