Tides of Annihilation – Apocalyptic London meets Arthurian legend game now has a gameplay reveal that looks very tasty

One of the standout games from the recent State of Play was undoubtedly Tides of Annihilation. The premise of mixing Arthurian legend, having a main character called Gwendolyn, and seeing modern-day London torn asunder by a strange otherworldly invasion certainly seems to have piqued a lot of interest.

Also, it seems quite unusual that so soon after State of Play, which can often be just a trailer-fest, we now have a full 11-minute gameplay reveal showing Gwendolyn in full effect and we have to say, that it continues to be a game we want to see more of at this stage.

When is Tides of Annihilation released?

All we know right now is that “Coming Soon” is the best we have from the Steam page. Read into this what you will, but now this video has dropped it seems as though Tides of Annihilation may actually be closer to arriving than we may have anticipated a few weeks back.

Developer Eclipse Glow Games hails from China, and maybe there is a bit of Stellar Blade in the look here. It also, for some reason gave us vibes from the gacha games such as Honkai Star Rail and Wuthering Waves, but that was more of a subconscious thing. Either way, it looks cool and we are looking forward to playing it, hopefully sooner rather than later.

What is Tides of Annihilation?

Tides of Annihilation is a single-player, narrative-driven title set in a twisted version of modern London cataclysmically altered by an otherworldly invasion. Taking on the role of Gwendolyn, humanity’s lone survivor, players embark on a legendary quest through London’s iconic environs to unravel a mystery that will determine the fate of reality itself. Battling alongside summonable spectral knights, players will encounter hordes of enemies, unforgettable bosses, and vertical levels in the form of gigantic knights roaming the landscape.
