The crew behind the MeeGo based WeTab Tablet have decided to exhibit at CeBit (booth D14 / 3 in hall 19). 4tiitoo AG, the company behind the WeTab see this as yet another opportunity to engage with their German communities in the Tablet Computer segment. In addition, they are going to be showing the diversity of applications for business and leisure enabled by the open concept of the German Tablet-Computer.

“The development of WeTab has made remarkable progress in recent weeks and months: This enormous momentum is not least owed to the significant commitment of the WeTab community,” explains Tore Meyer, CEO of 4tiitoo AG
“In order to maintain and intensify this successful and open dialogue with the WeTab community we decided to participate in this year’s CeBIT at short notice. We’re looking forward to take any suggestions – as well as criticism.” Tore Meyer continues: “The future of MeeGo and Qt are debated quite controversial and with some uncertainty after the announcement of Nokia and Microsoft. Thus our CeBIT presentation will offer the possibility for direct contact and personal talks with developers and users in the Open Source community.”

Augmented Reality on the WeTab
There will also be a demonstration of Augmented Reality (AR) applications by metaio GmbH, showing how it will be possible in the future, to enrich the reality surrounding us by digital information.
E-Health Solution by myVitali ®
myVitali AG of Switzerland will also show alternative uses of the WeTab: The system provides the fully automated detection and analysis of vital data on the basis of WeTab. Unlike the classic preventive and therapeutic methods the Vitali system motivates the user to actively and effectively take care of his health. A virtual coach explains the current and historical values and supports the user with amusing, although medically competent advices. The user’s doctor and contact persons can be integrated into the system: in case of exceeding pre-defined limits, they are automatically informed. The touch-screen environment of the WeTab allows a simple and intuitive use – without any computer education.
