The Samsung Z4, the fourth smartphone in Samsung’s Z series and a successor to the Z2 (and not the Z3, as many would assume), has been formally announced and made an appearance at the Tizen Developer Conference (TDC 2017) this past week. The Z4 was rumoured to make its way to India on May 19th (Friday) and it did – arriving with offline retailers after launching in the country last Monday (one week ago).
As a refresher, the Samsung Z4 features a 4.5-inch, Super AMOLED, 2.5D curved display with a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, a 1.5Ghz, dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage with a microSD card slot for an additional 128GB (max) expandable storage, 5MP front (f/2.2 aperture) and rear cameras (with rear dual LED flash), 4G VoLTE (voice over LTE), Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, and a 2,050mAh battery. The device runs Tizen 3.0 out of the box and comes with Black and Gold removable covers to mix phone colors from time to time.
The Samsung Z4 retails in India for Rs. 5,790 (~$90 USD).
