PlayStation’s new mascot Astro Bot is a big contender in 7 different categories. The indie game Balatro is also earning its laurels with a nomination in the GOTY category and 4 other categories. Nintendo has seen a decent amount of success too, with Princess Peach: Showtime!, Super Mario Party Jamboree and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom receiving nominations.
All in all, this year has been pretty quiet in terms of major AAA game releases, as reflected by the fact that the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has been nominated for Game of the Year. And before you come for me, Oh Tarnished Ones, yes the DLC was great, but it’s still an expansion and not a brand-new game.
