Samsung Electronics came together with Speedo International to help swimmers across the globe to track their favourite activity with the help of Speedo’s platform called ‘Speedo On’. This new swimming tracking app will be featured in the new Samsung Gear Sport and Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro. Both devices are 5ATM certified, ie water resistance will be up to 50-meters of water. With this new application, the Gear Fit2 Pro and the Gear Sport will be a perfect swimming champion.
Speedo On
Speedo On is the new swim training platform from Speedo. This has been designed to improve the swimming experience for the swimmers. It will also encourage more people swimming. The app also measures key swim metrics including lap count, lap time and stroke type to easily track and incorporate swim achievements into personal fitness goals.

Samsung Gear Sport is a stylish smartwatch with premium features, on the other hand, the Gear Fit2 Pro is an all-new ergonomic fitness band with dynamic heart rate monitoring and GPS tracking. The data collected from Speedo On application is compatible with Samsung Health. This is Samsung’s comprehensive fitness tracking platform.
The Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro will come with the Speedo On app pre-installed. This is powered by Speedo’s own algorithm. This algorithm is designed for optimum accuracy and it will also achieve seamless data transfer into their web-based platform.
The app is primarily for data-driven fitness swimmers and acts as an interactive swim tracking platform, which substitutes as a comprehensive training partner. It will offer an efficient analysis of the user’s swims and will track the user’s progress against the fitness goals. Speedo On will also give swimming a social dimension, which will in both the Samsung Gear Sport and Gear Fit2 Pro the Speedo On app enables swimmers to complete time trials and get their SWOLF score which is a swim efficiency measure.
